The Basic Conditions of Employment Act requires an employer to give an employee written remuneration information when the employee is paid. Core particulars include the employer's name and address, the employee's name and occupation, the payment period, remuneration, deductions and the actual amount paid. When hours or rates are relevant to the pay calculation, the written information also covers the rate of remuneration and overtime rate, ordinary and overtime hours, Sunday or public-holiday hours, and averaging-period hours where applicable.
It turns the information you enter into a clean PDF payslip. You can add employer and employee details, pay period, earnings, deductions, net pay and the BCEA calculation-detail fields when they are relevant.
It does not calculate or certify PAYE, UIF, overtime entitlements or payroll compliance. Those amounts remain user-entered. The employer is responsible for checking the applicable law, payroll records and deductions before issuing the payslip.
